Master Bedroom Remodel

I have been meaning to share these photos for SO long now. We remodeled our bedroom back in February! I got the inspiration via Pinterest - of course. I really wanted to get rid of the warm off white we had, and just make it a cleaner/cooler color. And i'm all about the grey!

We have a California King - as if that isn't already huge, we had a HUGE frame on it. It was nice for storage but Alec would hit his hip on it every morning! It was time for it to go. Our room just isn't big enough for something like that.

Here are a few before shots:

I think this room only took us a few days to complete - we rushed it because we tried sleeping in our spare bedroom, but thats only a Queen size bed and we couldn't handle it!

We pulled the baseboards and carpet before painting. This room was a little hard because the ceiling was painted the same color as the walls.

 *insert eye roll here*

The wood floors are technically a "soft wood" - its like the wood you'd use for wall paneling. You put them together and then Alec screwed them into the floor. There were a few parts where it was tricky and Alec had to cut custom pieces but other than that they fit the length of the bedroom perfectly. Once they were placed and screwed in we painted them with a waterproof white paint.

Then you add furniture and baseboards!
